With the NFL Draft coming up around the corner, it seems like the Patriots have endless options. Do they trade up and get the QB of the future? Do they stay at 15 and snag up a Linebacker. Do they even trade down to the mid 20s to get even more picks, while still having a solid spot in the draft. There are truly so many different things that Bill Belichick and the front office could decide to do, and I'm here to run through some of them.

1st Round:

As I said, we could really do anything. One option could be trading up to grab the QB of the future.

Now, obviously, Trevor Lawrence seems impossible, but what about the other QBs? If we wanted to get any of the top 3 QBs in this years class, there's a good chance that we would have to trade up to number 4 from the Falcons. The two pieces that could make that trade go through? Stephon Gilmore and pick 15. With rumors of Gilmore likely being traded this offseason, why not try to trade him to get a better pick, and to get our QB1 for the years to come. But even if Atlanta doesn't accept that, we could easily make a similar trade with the Panthers to acquire pick 7, where we snatch up Trey Lance.

Option number 2 is that we just stay where we are. With this, we could either address the QB Position with Mac Jones, grab Notre Dame Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, or get one of either Jaylen Waddle, or Rashad Bateman. Bateman would be more likely, considering Waddle likely wouldn't fall to 15, but there is a chance that he could. We could even hope that Kyle Pitts falls down to us, an incredible pass catcher at the position that we might be lacking most, Tight End.

Option 3 would be to trade down to around pick 25. I would honestly say that if we went with this, you gotta pick Mac Jones if he's available, or Rashod Bateman. Maybe grab a DL. Not much to say here to be honest. This is probably the most boring option, but also likely the smartest.

Option 4 is to trade pick 15 and multiple other future firsts for Deshaun Watson. Couldn't leave this out. Easily a top 5 QB, still young, and wants out of Houston. Is it likely that we trade for him? No, not at all. But would it be fun? Oh yeah

With our second round pick, I would just say keep it. Use that pick on a Defensive Lineman, a Linebacker, or a Wide Receiver. With that being said, I would also love picking up some Cornerback depth, assuming that we were to trade away Stephon Gilmore. Never hurts to grab a CB in the second/third round.

In the third round, we are projected to have a compensatory pick from Tom Brady leaving. I would just grab an interior defensive lineman. Somebody to plug up the middle. That's been a huge problem that we have struggled to address, and something that we must do in either free agency or in the draft.

In rounds 4-7, really just grab any of the following:

Wide receivers. We have almost no good pass catchers, so it would be great to grab a WR to help out our depth. Grab a late round dude to come in as a WR3 or WR4, and it could end up being one of the most important picks of the draft.

Offensive Lineman Depth. Again, it never hurts. With Joe Thuney likely to be gone, we could for sure use another lineman to use as a backup.

Defensive Lineman. We have nobody who can fill the middle. We have no edge pressure. We need to find an extra hidden gem to put on the DL, whether that's to plug the middle, or to come off the edge to get to the QB.

Linebacker. Our linebackers aren't good. We need somebody to put in the middle and replace Bentley. With Hightower coming back, this might not be as needed as some may think, however our Linebacking core still needs help.

Cornerback depth. It never hurts. Gilmore is likely to be gone, and we could for sure use some extra corners.

And that's about it. If we are able to address even half of the problems that I mentioned, I would be happy
